The U.S. is imposing additional 50% tariffs on a wide range of Canadian goods -- from dairy and wine to hockey equipment -- starting Aug. 19.
Canada says the move violates Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), and is ready to "engage intensively" to address "outstanding issues" with U.S.
