U.S. expresses condolences over mudslide hitting border port in China's Xizang

David Perdue, ambassador of the United States to China, expressed condolences on behalf of the U.S. side over the casualties caused by a mudslide during his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday, according to a press release issued by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
The mudslide struck a port along the China-Nepal border in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Wednesday morning.
