Gansu Province, as one of the earliest participants, major initiators, promoters, and builders in the construction of the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West among the provinces of Chongqing, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Gansu, serves as a golden node that directly connects the “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” through the Lan-Yu Railway. It possesses a highly significant geographical advantage.After years of relentless efforts, Gansu Province has increasingly clarified its development strategy in channel construction, train dispatch, foreign trade, and international logistics. Its geographical advantage has become more pronounced. The New Land-Sea Corridor in the West has already become an important passage connecting the northwest region to the world. It has opened new models for Gansu products to reach the sea and accelerated the construction of inland openness. It has also created new opportunities for Gansu Province to integrate more quickly into the global economy. The New Land-Sea Corridor Gansu Operations Company, by timely launching train routes such as the China-Laos service, the China-Arabia railway express, and the New Land-Sea Corridor South Asia scheduled service, enables a greater number of Gansu-manufactured goods, Gansu specialty products, and wind power equipment to reach beyond China’s borders and into the world through the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West.

Major corridors bring about major logistics, which in turn drive substantial trade, activating large-scale industries. The continuous release of the synergistic effect of “corridor + economic and trade + industry” is an essential requirement for the high-level joint construction of the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West.
