On the afternoon of July 7th, the "2024 Gansu Specialty Agricultural Products Sales and Distribution Matching Event," one of the main activities of the 30th Lanzhou Trade Fair, was held in Lanzhou. Entrepreneurs from Gansu’s specialty agricultural production, processing, and sales sectors gathered with procurement suppliers from across the country to discuss the promotion and development of Gansu’s specialty agricultural products.

In recent years, Gansu Province has focused on scaling up, intensifying, and industrializing its agriculture, developing high value-added water-saving, dry-farming, and facility-based agriculture to build a strong agricultural province. The province has meticulously crafted the "Ganwei" brand and worked to enhance and upgrade its six key specialty industries: cattle, sheep, vegetables, fruits, potatoes, and traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. Gansu leads the nation in corn and potato seed production, artificial cultivation area and yield of Chinese medicinal herbs, and highland summer vegetables. It ranks third nationally in meat sheep, apples, and potato industries. Additionally, locally distinctive high-quality agricultural products such as Sichuan pepper and olive oil are highly trusted and favored by consumers.

This event highlighted over 400 Gansu specialty agricultural products, organizing one-on-one negotiations between buyers and suppliers, while also conducting live online sales. The aim was to establish closer cooperation with agricultural product distribution enterprises across the country, jointly building a sales and distribution platform to achieve mutual benefits. During the event, Gansu Province reached a series of strategic cooperation agreements with buyers from other provinces and cities, with 43 agricultural product procurement agreements signed on-site.
