On July 18, the "Tianjin-Gansu Cultural and Tourism Industry Integration and Development Cooperation Forum," co-hosted by the Tianjin Development and Reform Commission, the Tianjin Frontline Command for Supporting Gansu Work, the Tianjin Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Tianjin East-West Cooperation and Support Industry Promotion Association, was held in Wuwei City.

Tianjin, as a key node on the Maritime Silk Road, and Gansu, a crucial corridor on the Overland Silk Road, represent a combination of openness and inclusivity with profound historical roots, as well as modern vitality and historical culture. This unique integration of the two regions not only creates a cultural exchange bridge connecting the east and west and spanning across ancient and modern times but also builds a vibrant, diverse, and symbiotic space. The cooperation forum will contribute to the deep integration of culture and tourism between Tianjin and Gansu, facilitating high-quality development.

The cultural and tourism cooperation between Tianjin and Gansu has a solid foundation and promising prospects. Since the commencement of the East-West Poverty Alleviation Cooperation, the cultural and tourism departments of both regions have focused on high-quality industry collaboration in areas such as industrial poverty alleviation, cultural and tourism exchanges, and talent training. This has enhanced the "self-sustaining" capabilities and internal momentum of the supported regions. This year, the two regions have engaged in in-depth exchanges and cooperation in areas including tourism market connectivity, product promotion, customer source exchange, and industry interaction, establishing a new collaborative pattern characterized by diversity, multiple layers, various fields, and numerous approaches.

The theme of this cooperation forum is "Cultural and Tourism Integration and Intelligence: Building the Future Together." It aims to create a platform that brings together industry strengths to explore opportunities and pathways for the integration and development of the cultural and tourism industries between Tianjin and Gansu, and to help build distinctive and competitive cultural and tourism brands. The main activities of the forum include keynote speeches, the launch of four initiatives: "Micro-Short Films Featuring the West," "Millions of Citizens Tour Gansu," the East-West Cultural and Tourism Industry Alliance, and the Brand Building and Empowerment Plan. Additionally, there will be roundtable discussions and promotional sessions on Gansu’s cultural and tourism resources. These activities will offer attendees valuable insights from industry experts and scholars at the forefront of cultural and tourism development, as well as engaging presentations from various cities and regions in Gansu, providing a comprehensive and enriching intellectual experience.
