Australian Travel Agents Visit Gansu; Jointly Explore New Opportunities in Cultural and Tourism Cooperation
From May 26 to 31, a nine-member delegation of Australian travel agents organized by the China National Tourist Office in Sydney conducted an inspection and visit in Gansu Province. The initiative aimed to enhance cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between Gansu and Australia, seeking to create more collaborative opportunities and development potential for both parties.
The site inspection covered Lanzhou, Gannan, Zhangye, and Dunhuang. During the investigation, Gansu's cultural and tourism authorities and related tourism enterprises held multiple symposiums with Australian travel businesses.
Australia is a key source market for Gansu's inbound tourism. During the Australian travel trade delegation's inspection and study tour in Gansu, both parties agreed this visit would facilitate long-term, stable cooperative relationships between tourism operators, enhance tourism collaboration, and promote sustainable growth in Gansu's inbound tourism sector. Australian delegates shared their perspectives on Gansu's tourism resources and proposed constructive suggestions aligned with Australia's market demands. They expressed hopes for further optimization of tourism infrastructure and service quality to deliver more convenient and comfortable travel experiences. Multiple cooperative agreements were reached regarding tourism product development, reciprocal tourist referrals, and market promotion. Going forward, the two sides plan to jointly launch tourism products integrating Gansu's cultural characteristics with Australian travelers' preferences, such as Silk Road Cultural Experience Tours and In-depth Folk Culture Tours. Through collaborative efforts between travel agencies from both regions, reciprocal tourist exchanges will be implemented to jointly expand the tourism market. It is believed that with concerted efforts, the cultural-tourism cooperation between Gansu and Australia will yield fruitful outcomes, injecting new vitality into tourism development for both destinations. This collaboration will attract more Australian visitors to experience the unique charm of "Symphonic Silk Road · Charming Gansu".
