On August 6th,the Provincial Video Conference on Advancing Service Consumption Initiatives was held. The conference thoroughly implemented the guiding principles of the General Secretary Xi Jingpin on expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption, rigorously executed the provincial Party committee and government’s work plans to expand service consumption, reviewed progress achieved, and outlined key tasks for the next phase.

The meeting noted that service consumption serves as a critical link between the economy and people’s livelihoods. All localities and departments must raise their political stance, deepen their understanding that expanding service consumption is a concrete action to implement the decisions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, a necessary choice aligned with economic laws, and an intrinsic requirement to meet the people’s aspirations for a better life. Efforts to expand service consumption must be closely integrated with initiatives to benefit public well-being, and all tasks must be diligently executed.

The meeting emphasized the need to: Accelerate the establishment of a provincial policy support system for service consumption to ensure strong alignment with national policies; Develop distinctive platforms tailored to local characteristics to increase the supply of high-quality services; Strengthen service consumption statistics, refine industry standards, empower innovation through technology, and solidify the foundation for service sector growth; Enhance cross-departmental and cross-level coordination, consolidate resources to boost service consumption, regulate market order effectively, foster a safe and trustworthy consumer environment, strengthen safety management, and continuously improve security safeguards across all service sectors.
