From August 19 to 20, the "Charm of Gansu, Dancing at the Majestic Pass" National Great Wall Cultural Belt Youth Street Dance Conference, jointly organized by the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Jiayuguan Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Gansu Provincial Cultural Center and the Jiayuguan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, was successfully held in Jiayuguan. The event featured 20 teams with over 160 participants selected from nine provinces and regions along the Great Wall, including Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Qinghai, and Gansu.

This showcase serves as a flagship initiative for public art education in Gansu Province’s 2025 cultural service agenda and a nationwide youth aesthetic education campaign that advances the preservation and innovative revitalization of the Great Wall’s cultural legacy. Designed to ignite artistic creativity among young people in Great Wall cities, it highlights the dynamic fusion of contemporary urban culture with historical heritage, breathing new life into ancient traditions through youthful energy. Youth participants from provinces and municipalities across China embodied the soul of the Great Wall through street dance, channeling its cultural essence into spirited self-expression. Beneath the ancient fortress walls, their gravity-defying moves sparked bursts of creativity, honed resilience through dance battles, and forged camaraderie through collaborative choreography. Each acrobatic leap and rhythmic pulse transformed into a vibrant act of cultural guardianship, celebrating the enduring roots of China’s civilizational heritage.

Through two main showcases—outstanding group street dance performances and solo/team battles—the event engaged nearly 100,000 visitors and local audiences beneath the majestic Jiayuguan Fortress, creating a trans-temporal cultural symphony that resonated with spectators from around the globe.
