Zhang Tieqiang Leads Delegation to 2nd China-Europe Railway Express International Cooperation Forum and Signs Key Agreement
On November 18, the Gansu Provincial Government organized a delegation to participate in the 2nd China-Europe Railway Express International Cooperation Forum, hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Transport, General Administration of Customs, China State Railway Group, and Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, under the theme "Connecting Asia and Europe, Sharing the Future." Over 450 representatives from 45 countries and regions convened in Xi'an to strengthen multilateral dialogue, foster broader international cooperation consensus, and ensure secure, stable, and unimpeded operation of the China-Europe Railway Express.
At the forum, Zhang Tieqiang, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of Gansu International Logistics Group, on behalf of the group company, signed the Digital-Intelligent Enhancement Project Cooperation Agreement for the New Eurasia Land-Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor with representatives from seven enterprises: Lianyungang Port Holding Group Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou New Silk Road International Port Investment Co., Ltd., Xi'an International Inland Port Group Co., Ltd., Xuzhou Huaihai International Land Port Holding Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd., Xinjiang International Land Port (Group) Co., Ltd., and Khorgos Jinnuo Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. The parties will establish a long-term, stable, and comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship based on the New Eurasia Land-Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor, jointly build a full-chain informatization platform for the corridor, promote the implementation of national data resources in operational scenarios along the route, and achieve objectives including enhancing the corridor's competitiveness, reducing national logistics costs, and improving "soft connectivity" levels along Belt and Road countries, thereby comprehensively advancing high-quality development of China's New Eurasia Land-Sea Intermodal Transport.
Seizing the forum's opportunities, Zhang Tieqiang held strategic discussions on November 17 with executives from key enterprises including Xinjiang Commerce and Logistics (Group), Lianyungang Port Holding Group, COSCO Shipping Group, and Khorgos Jinnuo Investment Holding Group, focusing on three pivotal agendas: advancing high-standard development of the New Eurasia Land-Sea Intermodal Transport Corridor, optimizing operational benchmarks of the China-Europe Railway Express, and consolidating competitive advantages through multimodal corridor diversification.
Liu Guangwu, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Gansu International Logistics Group, along with responsible officials from relevant departments and heads of the Intermodal Transport Company and Land-Sea New Corridor Company, participated in three parallel forums focusing on Efficient-Safe Transportation, Multimodal Corridor Development, and Innovative Integration Development. They conducted in-depth discussions with enterprise representatives on high-quality development pathways for the China-Europe Railway Express.
