On December 9-10, a training workshop on Gansu Province's deep integration into the Belt and Road Initiative for economic and trade cooperation and overseas security risk prevention was held in Lanzhou. Participants included officials from municipal commerce departments, overseas employment training centers, foreign labor cooperation service platforms, and key "going global" enterprises across the province.

During the training, staff from the Ministry of Commerce's Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation interpreted the three departmental statistical systems for foreign investment cooperation, assisting enterprises in standardizing statistical processes and enhancing data quality. Overseas security experts analyzed the security situation by examining typical cases and imparted response strategies covering risk early warning, emergency response, and personnel protection. The Provincial Foreign Affairs Office elaborated on diplomatic and consular protection policies, strengthening security alerts and safeguarding overseas interests. Experts from Lanzhou University's Belt and Road Research Center assessed the economic landscape and new opportunities under the Belt and Road Initiative, offering guidance to help enterprises clarify their development positioning and expand into overseas markets. Additionally, specialists from Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (SINOSURE) explained risk identification and assessment for overseas personnel, as well as the design of insurance schemes, supporting businesses in improving their risk prevention and control systems.
