Registration Opens for Gansu Province's 5th Live-streaming E-commerce Competition
On April 15, it was learned from the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce that the selection round of the province's 5th Live-streaming E-commerce Competition has begun accepting registrations. The event aims to recruit live-streaming influencers and short video creators across the province to help promote Gansu specialty products beyond the region and boost their nationwide sales. The registration period will run until April 25, with eligible individuals and enterprises welcome to participate.
The competition, themed "Naturally Gansu, Cloud-Powered Commerce, Curated in Lanzhou," is jointly organized by multiple departments including commerce, cyberspace affairs, and human resources. With support from platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou, Taobao, JD.com, Pinduoduo, and Video Accounts, the event aims to cultivate local e-commerce talent, expand sales channels for specialty products, and promote the deep integration of digital and real economies.
The competition features two main tracks: live-streaming sales and short video creation. It covers promotional content including agricultural products, time-honored brands, Lanzhou beef noodles, geographical indication products, and cultural and tourism resources. Participation is encouraged from groups such as members of village Party committees and villagers' committees, resident village cadres, young live-streamers, female new farmers, and local prosperity leaders. Contestants are urged to utilize techniques and methods like AI, cultural creativity, and micro-dramas in their short video creations, showcasing local characteristics through live-streaming formats such as "store broadcasts" and "village broadcasts." This initiative aims to explore Gansu's distinctive industries and effectively tell the story of Gansu.
