Gansu International Logistics Group Successfully Ships First Heavy Oil Order of the Year
Recently, Gansu International Logistics Group successfully shipped its first heavy fuel oil cargo of the year. As a marshalling of tank cars slowly pulled out from No.3 dedicated railway line at Gaolan Logistics Park, the first batch of approximately 3,000 metric tons of heavy fuel oil set off officially. This milestone marks a new breakthrough for Gaolan Logistics Park in the receiving and dispatching of bulk energy logistics, and demonstrates the provincial State-owned enterprise’s commitment to safeguarding energy security and advancing green development.
Heavy oil, a heavy residual oil left after the extraction of gasoline and diesel from crude oil, is widely used as industrial fuel and as a raw material for asphalt. To ensure the safe and efficient shipment of the first batch, Gaolan Logistics Park made overall arrangements and coordinated multiple departments. The entire process was strictly controlled over key steps such as tank wagon receiving and unloading, metering and inspection, and safety protection. The railway freight transport regulations were rigorously followed, ensuring that the shipment proceeded smoothly and orderly.
Compared with traditional modes of transport, rail transportation offers significant advantages such as large volume capacity, low cost, high safety, and green, low-carbon operation. The successful implementation of this heavy oil shipment business not only provides customers with stable and reliable bulk oil transport services, but also effectively increases the utilization rate of the park's dedicated railway line, diversifies its business categories, and improves the company's revenue quality and efficiency. Gansu International Logistics Group stated that it will continue to leverage the advantages of its dedicated railway lines, actively integrate into the national energy logistics system, and support high-quality regional economic development through concrete actions.
