To thoroughly implement the provincial Party Committee’s arrangements for rural revitalization and further deliver on annual poverty alleviation support tasks, the Gansu Provincial Institute of Economics has pooled resources from multiple parties to boost the development of its paired assistance villages. The Institute has proactively coordinated with Beijing Silk Road Guoxin Big Data Technology Co., Ltd. and Neusoft Corporation to donate funds for poverty relief and fulfill corporate social responsibilities. Recently, a delegation led by Zhou Hong, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee, visited Ningxingou Village and Niejiagou Village in Luotang Town, Wudu District, Longnan City, to carry out a charity donation and industrial research campaign themed “Pool Efforts for Targeted Assistance and Jointly Advance Development Through Practical Initiatives”.

This event integrated work meetings, donation and co-construction activities, and industrial research. At the event, the village-based assistance team reported on the progress of assistance work in the two villages. Relevant representatives from Luotang Town, the assisted villages, and the Academy held discussions and exchanges on topics such as industrial development, infrastructure construction, and rural governance. During the donation signing ceremony, the two caring enterprises each donated 30,000 yuan of assistance funds to the two villages, which will be specifically used for the development of specialty industries and the improvement of village-level livelihood projects.

Comrade Zhou Hong requested the assistance team and the two village committees to strictly regulate the management of the donated funds, ensuring that the funds are used exclusively for their designated purposes with transparency and openness, and subject to supervision by the villagers throughout the process. At the same time, based on the resource endowments of the two villages, efforts should be made to improve the quality of the tea industry in Ningxinggou and the management and protection of konjac cultivation in Niejiagou, strengthening specialty industries to drive income growth for the villagers. The Party committee of Luotang Town, the two village committees, and the village-based assistance teams expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the caring enterprises for their generous donations and their support for rural revitalization.

Subsequently, the research team went into the fields to inspect the management and quality improvement of the tea garden in Ningxinggou, as well as the demonstration planting pilot and industrial development plans for konjac in Niejiagou. They thoroughly assessed the current status and actual needs of industrial development in the two villages, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent targeted implementation of assistance work.

Key leaders of the Academy and heads of relevant departments, representatives of the caring enterprises, responsible officials from Luotang Town, the two village committees of Ningxinggou and Niejiagou, the village-based assistance teams, and villager representatives participated in the event.
