Four technical training class projects for developing countries in Gansu Province were approved
Recently, the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Issuing the 2024 Technical Training Course Project Plan for Developing Countries". A total of 88 technical training courses for developing countries were approved, including 84 training courses held in China and 4 training courses held abroad. The project plans for technical training courses for developing countries submitted by four units in our province, including Lanzhou University, Lanzhou Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Drug of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute, were successfully approved, of which three training courses were held in China and one training course was held abroad.
Technical training courses for developing countries are various forms of short-term training courses for technical personnel organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology for recipient countries. They are one of the important forms of foreign aid in science and technology. At present, the province has hosted 46 technical training sessions for developing countries. More than 16 million yuan of funds have been approved, and more than 1,000 trainees from developing countries have been trained. The main fields involved are desertification prevention and control technology, Chinese veterinary medicine, modern dryland water-saving and facility agriculture technology, solar energy and wind energy application technology, medical and health technology, rainwater collection and utilization technology, biomass energy development and application technology, arid area ecological restoration and biodiversity protection technology, major cross-border animal disease monitoring technology and other 9 fields. Among them, the Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute has hosted 15 "International Training Courses on Solar and Wind Energy Application Technology", and the Lanzhou Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Drugs of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences has hosted 10 "International Training Courses on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Pharmaceutical Technology".
