On December 18th, the first China Nepal new energy vehicle intermodal train in Xining, jointly built by Gansu Logistics Group Road Port Logistics Company and Xining Comprehensive Bonded Zone Development Investment Co., Ltd., slowly departed from Shuangzhai Station in Xining City. The train starts at Jilong Port in Xizang and ends at Kathmandu in Nepal, marking a new channel for the export of new energy vehicles in Gansu and Qinghai.

This China Nepal road rail intermodal bus train is equipped with domestic famous new energy brand cars. The vehicles were assembled in Xining in the early stage and transported in 40 foot containers. The road port logistics company is responsible for the loading and reinforcement of the vehicles. After being transported to Jilong Port in Xizang by rail, the vehicles are directly transported to various new energy vehicle distribution networks in Nepal by road. Relying on the geographical advantages of Xining and the Qinghai Tibet railway network, as well as the flexibility and maneuverability of road transportation, the logistics efficiency of this train has been significantly shortened compared to previous scattered transportation. This has laid a solid foundation for the stable operation of car trains in the future and helped domestic new energy vehicles shine in the South Asian market.

In recent years, Gansu and Qinghai provinces have been deeply promoting the construction of the Lanzhou Xining urban agglomeration, committed to creating a demonstration model of complementary advantages, coordinated development, and win-win cooperation. This China Nepal new energy vehicle intermodal train is not only a logistics train, but also a catalyst for promoting regional industrial synergy and upgrading between the two provinces.
