On February 26, the Provincial Department of Commerce convened a meeting of the foreign trade working group under the provincial joint conference mechanism for promoting high-quality trade development. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of recent national foreign trade work conferences and requirements outlined in policy documents for stabilizing foreign trade, arranged and deployed key tasks, and actively promoted the efficient and orderly implementation of foreign trade stabilization measures.

The meeting emphasized the need to effectively leverage the role of the Joint Meeting Foreign Trade Working Group, refine and implement the Ministry of Commerce's measures to stabilize foreign trade growth and provincial measures supporting stable development of foreign trade enterprises, and collaboratively promote the implementation and effectiveness of national and provincial foreign trade stabilization policy documents. It called for effectively utilizing the "one-on-one" service mechanism for key country export enterprises, strengthening collaboration with working groups on foreign investment attraction, outbound investment, logistics channels, and port platforms, coordinating policy implementation, and conducting enterprise liaison, early warning guidance, and preemptive assistance. The meeting stressed introducing and nurturing foreign trade entities, optimizing foreign trade alliance enterprises, cultivating and certifying provincial-level comprehensive foreign trade service enterprises, continuously enhancing foreign trade service capabilities, and vigorously advancing initiatives like "Ganhuo Returning to Gansu" and "Ganshu Gantong". It required closely monitoring the implementation of key demonstration projects, accelerating the development of Lanzhou New Area National Import Trade Promotion and Innovation Demonstration Zone and key processing trade relocation destinations, stabilizing import volumes, fostering new foreign trade momentum, and sustaining export expansion. The meeting also emphasized guiding key cities/regions and enterprises to utilize domestic and international exhibition platforms such as the Canton Fair, CIIE, and CIFTIS to continuously expand international markets. The province aims to achieve "strong opening" in Q1 foreign trade, "double half" completion of H1 targets, and annual import-export growth of 10%.
