Sales of Consumer Goods Trade-In Program in Gansu Province Exceed 10 Billion Yuan

On May 20, reporters learned from the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce that since the launch of the consumer goods trade-in program in January this year, as of May 19, the province has received over 1.1 million subsidy applications for consumer goods replacement. This initiative has generated over 10 billion yuan in consumption, demonstrating a comprehensive driving ratio of 1:7.9

According to statistics from the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce, as of May 19, the province had received 46,400 applications for old-for-new car replacement subsidies. These included 13,200 vehicle scrappage/renewal applications and 33,200 vehicle trade-in applications, generating automobile sales revenue of 5.965 billion yuan. Lanzhou City, Wuwei City, and Qingyang City ranked top three in provincial auto sales. For home appliance subsidies, there were 484,700 applications driving sales of 2.013 billion yuan, with Lanzhou, Tianshui, and Pingliang cities leading provincial sales. Electric bicycle subsidies saw 51,700 orders, resulting in 102 million yuan in sales. Zhangye, Jinchang, and Jiuquan cities claimed the top three positions. Home renovation and kitchen/bathroom upgrade subsidies recorded 88,500 applications with 720 million yuan in sales, led by Lanzhou, Longnan, and Tianshui. 3C digital product subsidies reached 434,600 orders, generating 1.251 billion yuan in sales revenue. Lanzhou, Tianshui, and Qingyang cities dominated provincial sales in this category.
