Recently, Gansu International Logistics Group organized and convened a seminar on green and zero?carbon logistics, inviting representatives from the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Jiuquan Municipal Energy Bureau, Tongji University, as well as enterprises including Zhejiang Yaoding and Guangdong Qingneng New Energy, to participate. In?depth discussions were held on topics such as the industrial layout of zero?carbon logistics in the Hexi region and the development of cross?regional collaborative connectivity.

During the seminar, Liu Guangwu, Vice General Manager and a member of the Party Committee of the Group, elaborated on the overall positioning and other key aspects of the green zero?carbon logistics park. Representatives from Zhejiang Yaoding and Guangdong Qingneng New Energy respectively delivered special presentations covering the overall planning of zero?carbon parks, policy advantages, facility construction, and scenario development. Drawing on Gansu’s industrial base and practical conditions, they also proposed adaptable technological implementation pathways for the region.

At the seminar, Zhang Cunman, a tenured distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor at Tongji University, noted that developing green zero?carbon logistics not only aligns with the national “dual carbon” strategic direction but also fully leverages Gansu’s energy resource endowments and its geographical advantage of opening westward. He regarded this as a significant exploration in advancing modern logistics, with a forward?looking project positioning and notable practical relevance. The Jiuquan Municipal Energy Bureau, drawing on the region’s large?scale wind and solar power bases, introduced local green energy support policies and supporting measures to facilitate project implementation. The Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, closely following the national industrial planning and the province’s new energy development blueprint, clarified the directions for cultivating industrial chains and building demonstration scenarios, while encouraging enterprises to establish zero?carbon logistics pilot and demonstration projects.

Relevant managers from the Group’s Supply Chain Management Department, Planning and Development Department, and Jiuquan Company attended the meeting.
