“Dunhuang Night” & 2025 Silk Road International Travel Traders Conference Wrap-up Sharing Session Concludes Successfully
On April 11, the “Dunhuang Night” and the 2025 Silk Road International Travel Traders Conference Summary and Sharing Session successfully concluded. This event brought together global tourism industry leaders to share remarkable insights about the Silk Road, injecting strong momentum into the internationalization of Gansu’s cultural and tourism sector.
Since April 8th, a distinguished delegation of 140 international tourism professionals - including officials from global tourism organizations, travel trade representatives, and social media influencers from 23 countries and regions - along with 150 key domestic inbound travel operators, have embarked on an exclusive inspection tour of Gansu's premium “Silk Road Journey” itinerary.
At the sharing session, international guests spoke freely about their experiences. Ms. Xiaoyu, a Thai travel operator, exclaimed excitedly: “The Mogao Caves and Dunhong Museum were the highlights of my trip! I'm certain Thai travelers will be equally captivated by these wonders.” Mr. Kim Ji-woo, Deputy Secretary-General of the Korea-China Cultural Friendship Association, shared: “Our association has long-standing ties with Dunhuang. This field visit gave us profound new insights into its heritage. We'll continue promoting Gansu's cultural tourism in Korea.” Japanese travel expert Mr. Nakagawa Genko reflected: “Seeing Dunhuang in person surpassed all screen depictions. Our textbooks' Silk Road narratives have already made it a dream destination for many Japanese-the reality is even more magnificent.”
The Department of Culture and Tourism of Gansu Province has awarded the honorary title of "Gansu Internet Celebrity Recommender" to Internet celebrity influencers from places such as South Korea and the United States. It is expected that representatives of travel agencies from various countries can put forward valuable opinions and suggestions in terms of route design, service details, publicity and promotion, and innovation of cultural experiences. Through in-depth exchanges with travel agencies from various countries, a series of cooperation intentions have been reached, covering multiple fields such as tourism product development, market promotion, and mutual referral of tourists.
This summary and sharing session is not only a review of the Silk Road journey, but also a prospect for future cooperation. In the future, taking this conference as a new starting point, we will continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the international tourism market, constantly tap the potential of Gansu's cultural and tourism resources, innovate tourism products and services, and make every effort to push Gansu's cultural and tourism industry onto a new international journey, making Gansu a "poetry and distant place" that global travelers yearn for.
