32nd Lanzhou Fair Successfully Concludes, Boosting Gansu's High-Quality Silk Road Open Development
From July 9 to 13, the 32nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair was successfully held in Lanzhou under the theme “New Opportunities for Pragmatic Cooperation, New Vision for Open Development.” As the province’s highest?profile and most influential national?level economic and trade event, this year’s Fair fully leveraged Gansu’s geographical endowment as the “golden passage” of the Silk Road, deeply served the high?quality joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and continued to build an open cooperation bridge that links domestic and international markets while integrating production with trade.

This year’s Fair invited the Republic of Korea and Pakistan as the dual guest countries of honor, while concurrently hosting city?themed events for multiple prefectures and cities. A total of 1,900 enterprises from 36 countries and international organizations, as well as from 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China, participated in the event. Five featured professional exhibition zones were planned on?site, presenting a comprehensive showcase of Gansu’s advantageous industries, cutting?edge scientific and technological innovations, and the province’s new outlook on opening?up. The Fair focused intently on key sectors such as new energy, new materials, green computing power, and specialized modern agriculture, and held a series of dedicated matchmaking sessions covering international economic and trade cooperation, strategic collaboration with central state?owned enterprises, and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. These efforts precisely facilitated the extension, supplementation, and strengthening of industrial chains, effectively promoted efficient matching of supply and demand, and enabled a two?way flow of resources.

As a core platform for Gansu’s westward opening?up, this year’s Fair continued to expand its international cooperation network, deepened cross?regional synergy and coordination, and brought together high?quality factors of capital, technology, and markets from both home and abroad. It steadily transformed the province’s geographic corridor advantages into industrial competitiveness and developmental strengths in opening?up, thereby injecting a continuous and powerful impetus into fostering new quality productive forces and accelerating the establishment of a new pattern of high?level opening?up across the land of Longyuan (Gansu).
